Raw Freedom

Spring has definitely arrived, with this weekend forecast to be the first warm and sunny weekend this year. The array of flowers that adorn our parks, verges and gardens are spectacular and help us to look forward to the summer and its long hot days.

For many the winter will have been a time of eating winter warming food and perhaps putting a few too many pounds on for extra insulation. This will have left lots of us feeling a little sluggish and not quite ready to don the bikini yet.

It is, however, time to plan for the summer, whether it be the dates for a holiday, the start of a plan to shed those extra pounds or to detoxify our winter bodies of the worst excesses of stodgy winter food.

Raw Freedom have just announced the perfect package to address all three of these concerns. The Bristol based company, run by Saskia Fraser who is one of the UK’s foremost raw food coaches, has been putting the finishing touches to their May raw food detox retreat. The package has left nothing out and when I visited the location earlier this month I have to say I was blown away.

Beautiful Location for Detox Holidays

The location is in south Devon, is fifteen minutes from the beach and is in the most idyllic spot. The accommodation is second to none and the program of events is inspiring enough to make me want to book right there and then. Saskia will be offering a fully raw food menu for the 3 days, this will be accompanied by raw food preparation classes to bring you up to speed on how easy it is to integrate raw food into everyday life.

The View From The Grounds to The Moor

Saskia said yesterday “I am so excited to be able to offer this fantastic package to those that need it. The combination of location, raw food, massage, yoga and life balancing coaching sessions is perfect for everyone to make the break from the winter lifestyle and move into the radiant and rejuvenated lifestyle that is waiting for all of us. Places have had to be limited so that there is time to devote to each and everyone on the retreat. That does of course mean that everyone can truly feel fully pampered and refreshed. I know that those that attend will take back the best of what they have been experiencing and integrate it into their everyday lives.”

The Indoor Heated Swimming Pool

The program contains yoga for all levels, unlimited access to the swimming pool, a full body holistic massage, raw food preparation classes, meditation, walks on the beach and in the beautiful Devon countryside and the connection with other like minded souls.

Healthy retreats and detox holidays are becoming ever more popular in the UK. Many people are deciding to stay in the UK for holidays rather than fly, and there are those who are starting to realise that the food we consume and the pace we live at both have a significant effect on our health and ageing processes. The idea that we can take a holiday, come back refreshed and not jet-lagged is gathering acceptance amongst ever widening circles.

After such a rewarding and relaxing 3 day event I would think everyone will return to their summer plans re-invigorated and ready for anything that the summer has to offer, including last year’s bikini and a determination to continue to eat more raw food whilst accomplishing more goals from your to do list.
